OMG! I am SOOO loving this book!

I have to agree I can’t believe Cat fell for the whole drugged drink thing. You’d think she hunts vampires but forgets to not take a drink from some stranger at a bar???

I loved their first love scene! I have to admit I too didn’t like the whole crystal skin description, way to close to Twilight for me, and that was one of the things I didn’t like about the series. However the silk over steel…I do think that is a nice description. I’ve tried to describe the same sensation to other people regarding how I think certain things feel and this one does come close.

I really have issues with Cat’s grandparents and her mom so I think the scene where Bones shows up and messes with their heads is hysterical. Cat has enough problems with how the people in the town treat her I think her family should at least have her back.

I don’t know if I really like Bone’s name. So how he got it makes sense, but again I’m not crazy about it. *shrug* just my opinion.

I love the way the book is going so far and I can’t wait to read more. i really hope that Cat’s mom gets a wake up call on how she makes her daughter feel.

Hennessey is definitely one of those villains you love to hate. He is cagey and so sure of himself that I love it when he gets a surprise thrown his way. Of course he is a coward who sneaks away when your back is turned. I don’t want to get ahead, I think that is why there are really only generalities to say so far about this ne’er-do-well.

Just a woman. The accent she uses is cockney, but the voice came out a bit to high pitched for my imagination. I wish the sample would play his voice. Still the audio is good and I liked her narration of Cat well enough to keep going.

hahaha you’re not the only one who read ahead! I couldn’t stop either it was getting so good.

Cat is so naive to me, I don’t know if its because she’s not been properly “taught” how to live as a vampire or if it’s because she has no real social skills. But she should have some common sense when it comes to interacting with other people.

“I loved the passage where Bones explained his name and thought it was very poetic and self-depreciating, which as arrogant as Bones is he tends to be is a tongue-n-cheek way.”

Totally agree with this. Bones is very poetic and everything he does and says means something….so I love how symbolic his name is to him actually becoming a vampire. One of my favorite passages in the book so far.
