Crazy for Bastion and New Game Releases

Load up your console, and prepare to be engaged.  The game everyone is chatting about is now available for your downloading pleasure.  With its steampunk style, and post-apocalyptic theme, Bastion is the new isometric action-RPG that kicks off the Xbox 360’s summer of arcade.  This was a wonderfully refreshing new way for Microsoft to entice those of us who have sat around on our Microsoft point cards, to stop hording our codes and decide to make a purchase.  A riveting game that can easily remind you of your younger days playing classic Zelda, Bastion is one beautifully crafted high-spirited game.   If you crave stunning graphics, hacking and slashing your way through a story, and unlocking new weapons and potions that enhance your gameplay, along with sweet customizations, then this is the XBL arcade game for you.  The sound effects and score will also be a warranted delight to your ears.

Although Bastion is a single-player game, you will be accompanied by a narrator who is sure to keep you on your toes and grounded in your tasks.  Sometimes in certain games, narrators can come off as a nuisance.  But thank goodness this is not the case for this already stunning game.   The narrator easily becomes your companion and adds more depth to your gameplay experience, amplifying your already heightened visual senses.   Gamers, who crave games that offer more than a simple story mode, will enjoy the proving grounds and side objectives that will increase the challenge and allow you to unlock more rewards.  There’s also a New Game Plus mode that allows you to continue leveling your character (aka The Kid) and revisit old locations, offering more than the allotted five or six hours of gamplay that usually accompanies similar titles.  If you have waited all summer for a great downloadable title, then go ahead push your fears aside and hit the buy button.  You will not be sorry.
