Sixteen-year-old Dominique Castille is a typical teen in a boring Texas town, where the most exciting thing is the annual turnip green festival. When the charismatic Caden Hanover enrolls in her high school, her life takes a heart-pounding turn. From the moment she sees Caden, she is irresistibly drawn to him. She has no idea that not only is he a vampire, but that he knows she is the reincarnation of his human wife—the wife he hasn’t seen in almost two hundred years. He is determined to reestablish their passionate love. He won’t stop until he claims Dominique as his own—and eventually makes her his vampire bride.

Sweet Savage Blood is the story of undying love sweeping across time from the 19th century to the 21st century.

**Note: This is Part I of the Sweet Savage Blood Trilogy**
Part II: Revelations
Part III: Blood Ties

The Top Ten Mistakes

You’re Making with Her Right Now:

You’re making a mistake if you…..

1. Take her for granted, and all the things she does for you

2. Avoid telling her the truth because it will make her angry

3. Joke around or tease her too much

4. Don’t verbally communicate important things she should know, like that you find her beautiful, that you love her, or when the time comes, that you don’t want to be involved with her any more

5. Assume she should know how you feel because you did something or acted a certain way

6. Don’t listen when she just needs to talk it out. You don’t need to solve her problem, just lend an ear

7. Make everything else be the priority in your life, your job, your hobbies, but not her

8. Allow others to interfere in the relationship, like your mother, your buddies, old girlfriends, roommates, etc.

9. Treat her like she’s one of the guys (For instance, speak to her like she’s a man, in a macho disrespectful manner)

10. Don’t realize that all relationships take work, and that means on your part, not just hers

Author Carolina Courtland grew up reading old romance novels like Angelique and the King, Savage Surrender and Shanna in the family camper in the backyard. It was a way to ensure privacy because no one in her family wanted to bother walking out to the backyard, especially in the winter.

Inspired by the passion and fire of the traditional romances, which typically don't have explicit details, she decided to bring the old style of writing to a paranormal fantasy for all ages.

Living in Texas, she rescues animals, is an animal rights activist and a gourmet cook.
