Mention Monday: Game Releases & Updates
Update: The Wii 2 was confirmed today and will be available for demo this June at E3. This announcement has been floating around the rumor mill for a while now and with the price-cuts happening at local retailers, no one is surprised. You can read more about the new Wii here at Web Pro News. More powerful than the 360? It might give me a reason to own another Nintendo system.
Even thought I have not been consistently playing games on my Xbox, I am avidly playing games on my new IPhone. Lord I know I fell in love with Apple all over again. If my Ipod, IPad, and IPhone had legs I would probably be dating them or at the very least, hanging out on the couch and cuddling with them. What I love about Apple is their innovation despite the fact they come out with a new version of their products yearly or twice a year (and tempt me to upgrade). A few months ago I updated my IPod Touch 2nd generation to an IPod Touch 4th generation. Loved it!! Then a few weeks ago I updated my smart phone to an IPhone 4. Love it even more!!! App store, couldn’t live without it, it’s just so easy to access my twitter, facebook, and other social media sites with the push of a button. Since I am a writer, the app store also has apps for all of my favorite blogging sites, note taking sites where I can easily write notes about ideas for my current projects, and anything else I can think of on a whim. They make it easy to find what you are looking for and have new content coming out faster than I can decide if I want it. But I am not complaining, Apple has my vote for best products, unless Microsoft can enhance their Windows Phone 7, then I might have a different opinion, until then congratulations Apple, I love you!!
Here are a couple of the new games I downloaded that I can not stop playing on my IPhone/Pod:
This is a great rendition of a classic game. I disliked the original board game with a passion. It took to long to play, the buying houses and hotels thing was confusing, and I just couldn’t get into it. With that being said, I absolutely LOVE this game! I am able to understand the rules and the concept, i am more into the competitive aspect of the game, and the best thing about it is that I can beat the game in one sitting, something you can’t really do with the board game. So I recommend it, go check it out!
I know this is not a game, but if you are looking for an app that great for taking notes, organizing ideas, or bookmarking sites online, then I highly recommend this app. So far its the best one that I have found where I can organize everything all in one spot. You can also visit http://springpadit.com all view all of your information on a computer via the cloud. Get it, use it, have fun!

This week I perfected the fine art of multi-tasking. With the holiday over the weekend I needed to get a ton of things done in a very short time frame. Thank goodness for Friday’s off because I was able to catch up on some much-needed sleep. Over the weekend I crunched it every night and was able to write 5,348 words. That may not be a lot to some people, but i am taking pride in it. The one thing I have learned from this experience is that you have to push yourself, give yourself compliments, and recognize your accomplishments. No one is going to push you like YOU. So basically what I am trying to say is my motivational soapbox for this week is,
When life gives you a lemon, smile and say thank you!! Happy writing!
