About the Book:

New York Times and USA Today bestselling author Katee Robert continues her smoking-hot series about the O'Malleys-wealthy, powerful, and full of scandalous family secrets.

Greed. Ambition. Violence. Those are the "values" Olivia Rashidi learned from her Russian mob family-and the values she must leave behind for the sake of her daughter. When she meets Cillian O'Malley, she recognizes the red flag of his family name . . . yet she still can't stop herself from seeing the smoldering, tortured man. To save her family, Olivia sets out to discover Cillian's own secrets, but the real revelation is how fast-and how hard-she's falling for him.

Plagued by a violent past, Cillian is more vulnerable than anyone realizes. Anyone except Olivia, whose beauty, compassion, and pride have him at "hello," even if she's more inclined to say good-bye to an O'Malley. While his proposal of sex with no strings seems simple, what he feels for her isn't, especially after he learns that she belongs to a rival crime family. Cillian knows that there is no escape from the life, but Olivia may be worth trying-and dying-for . . .

Review gold new 2-min

For returning fans of the O’Malleys, as well as readers just starting the series, An Indecent Proposal is a hot read for all lovers of a steamy romance novel.  Danger, intrigue, and mob rivalries, this one has it all.

The third book in the series focuses on Cillian O’Malley, one of the three remaining O’Malley Brothers.  While he’s more commonly known as the family screw-up, Cillian probably feels the most guilt about his younger brother’s death.  If Cillian hadn’t have been so drunk that night, they wouldn’t have walked home and Devlin would still be alive.  Since then, Cillian has done everything he can to stay on the straight and narrow, he doesn’t even drink anymore.  But while he’s been successful so far, Olivia Rashidi might be enough to make him lose his mind.

Single mother Olivia wants nothing to do with any of the O’Malley men, even someone as sexy as Cillian.  As half Romanov, she grew up without officially being a part of the family, but still expected to follow all of the rules.  And when her half-brother Dmitri decided to honor his deceased father’s wishes to make Olivia an actual part of the family, Olivia is supposed to simply fall in line.  Unfortunately for Dmitri, he doesn’t know his half-sister very well.  Olivia took her daughter, Hadley, and ran as fast as she could.  Now she’s living in Boston, trying to stay out of trouble, but when trouble looks like Cillian O’Malley, it can be hard to resist.

I absolutely loved Cillian in this book.  As the party brother, I expected him to not give a damn about anything, but the truth is he probably cares more than anyone else in his family.  So far, he seems to be the most damaged by Devlin’s death and it was heartbreaking to watch him put the blame on himself for so long.  The chemistry with him and Olivia was completely out of this world.  Their relationship is just the perfect balance between sexy/steamy and sweetness and caring.  Olivia is probably my favorite heroine so far in the series.  As much as she cares about Cillian, Hadley always comes first.  It’s something I really admire about her, and as someone who was raised by a single mother, I probably have more of an emotional connection to Olivia and Hadley moreso than the other heroines we’ve met so far.

The writing style was fantastic, just as always.  Katee Robert does a really good job of keeping a steady pace throughout her books, as well as a nice balance between the romance scenes and the drama going on with the families.  With so many different mob families it can get a little confusing at times, but the author makes sure the reader can keep everyone straight.

I give An Indecent Proposal 4 out of 5 controllers.  I am really enjoying this series and am looking forward to seeing what’s in store for the rest of the O’Malley clan.
