Tim Burton’s Miss Peregrine Shares New Images and Character Changes

For book fans of Ransom Riggs’ hit 2011 novel, Miss Peregrine’s Home for Peculiar Children, waiting for news and photos of the upcoming movie is exhilarating. Directed by Tim Burton, Miss Peregrine’s will star Asa Butterfiled as Jake, a 16-year-old who embarks on an overseas journey to find the mysterious orphanage where his grandfather once lived. After his arrival, he soon discovers his grandfather’s tales were not only true, but inside the home lives children with strange powers who are cared for by a magical guardian (Penny Dreadful star Eva Green).

 

Entertainment Weekly released new images for the movie and also revealed a few character changes. Author Ransom Riggs took to Twitter to defend Tim Burton’s changes, even stating, “plus you have to admit Miss P looks pretty badass with a crossbow”.
