December 2015 Theme — “For You With Love From Ipsy”

Peony Cosmetics: Shadow Trio

ipsy dec 2015 Peony Cosmetics eye shadow-min

Description from the Website:

A highly pigmented palette of three deep, after-dark shades in a nourishing, natural base that keeps it blendable & velvety smooth. These wearable shadows are formulated with silicon-coated micronized pigments & healthy kaolin clay for a seamless, silky texture that lasts up to 8 hours.

  • Pure Kaolin Clay helps absorb excess oil
  • Fragrance-Free
  • No Parabens

My Impressions:

I agree with the description, the shadow is very smooth, and blends well with my skin. I absolutely love the colors, they complement my skin tone well, and work well with other shadows I already own (browns and golds are my staple colors).

Pacifica: Power Of Love Natural Lipstick

Pacifica power of love lipstick ipsy december 2015 glam bag

Description from Website:

Amazingly creamy, highly-pigmented, and naturally moisturizing – this lipstick is packed with all the vitamins and antioxidants your lips crave. Made with coconut oil, shea butter, and vitamin E. 100% Vegan & Cruelty-Free.

  • Moisturizing and creamy
  • Highly pigmented color
  • Packed with vitamins and antioxidants

My Impressions:

Great color (Ipsy’s finally starting to send me colors that complement my skin tone), great pigmentation … horrible smell. It was so weird to have this stuff on my lips and have the odor under my nose. It might not bother some but if you’re sensitive to smells, you might want to reconsider this purchase.

Elizabeth Mott: Thank Me Later Eye Shadow Primer

Description from the Website:

This silky blend dries transparent and preps your lids for a smooth and even application. Your favorite eye shadows will intensely come to life. But most importantly, it protects your eye makeup all day, so you can get back to the important things in life (cat videos, selfies, and your roommate’s last piece of chocolate).

  • Intensifies eye shadow
  • Crease-free
  • Lightweight

My Impressions:

Works great for me! No complaints.

Clark’s Botanicals: Deep Moisture Mask

Description from the Website:

This mask helps to revitalize environmentally stressed, dry complexions. With each use, skin is infused with hydration and begins to glow. Over time, the fine lines and creases become less visible.

  • Instantly calms redness and softens skin with Algae extract
  • Delivers potent antioxidant properties with Japanese Green Tea
  • Helps to balance stressed skin with Jasmine Absolute

My Impressions:

This is not something I would typically use so it was passed on to a relative.

Briogeo: Curl Charisma Leave-In Crème

Description from the website:

A finishing crème for curly to wavy hair that hydrates, defines, and de-frizzes your curls. It’s fortified with frizz-deterring rice amino acids, avocado oil, and nourishing quinoa extract to nurture and enhance the texture of your locks.

  • Fights frizz all day
  • Enhances the form, definition, softness and hydration of curls
  • Cruelty-free

My Impressions:

I’m contemplating if I will use this or not. Because I recently went natural, I don’t use many products in my hair anymore and I’m not sure if this would work for my 4a hair type.

Verdict: This was an okay Glam Bag. I liked three out of the five items so I think it was worth the $10 bucks. Trying new products is always fun and I tend to find a good use for the cute little bags they come in!
