Cocktail Wednesday Episode 10: Spiced Pumpkin Punch
It’s Hump Day! And I’m sure some of us need a cocktail by now. Here on Cocktail Wednesday I’ll be dishing about some of my favorite cocktails. Sometimes I will include drinks I spot from around the web and other times this weekly feature will include drinks I’ve made. For those of you who prefer non-alcoholic beverages, there will be something fun in these posts for you too! So, sit back relax and take a sip!
Today’s Featured Cocktail:
Spiced Pumpkin Punch!
INGREDIENTS:
1 ounce pumpkin puree
1 teaspoon honey
1 ounce fresh lemon juice
2 ounces bourbon
3 ounces ginger beer
1/8 teaspoon grated fresh ginger (yes, you can use ground ginger if you must)
1/8 teaspoon ground cinnamon
Garnish: (optional)
1 cinnamon stick
Sage leaves
Dash of ground cinnamon
PREPARATION:
Place all of the ingredients in a cocktail shaker and shake vigorously. (If you don’t have a cocktail shaker, don’t panic. Just use a teaspoon to really mix things up.)
Strain ingredients over ice in a rocks glass.
Garnish your cocktail with a cinnamon stick and a couple sage leaves if you’re feeling fancy. An extra dash of cinnamon never hurts either.
My Thoughts:
Fall is finally here and what better way to celebrate than with a pumpkin cocktail! Can’t wait to give this one a try…give me ALL the pumpkins!!!!
😉
If I could have alcohol I would so try this!!
(Is there a way to make it without the alcohol?)
Let me know how it goes! I didn’t see it without the alcohol but I’m sure you could just leave it out and it would still taste awesome!
