About the Book:

Reader favorite Angie Sandro returns to the South with a bewitching paranormal New Adult romance perfect for fans of Jennifer Armentrout's Wicked and Cora Carmack's Inspire . . .

Rescued from the brink of death by her cousin Mala, Dena Acker returns to the land of the living with a terrifying gift. Still connected to the darkness that almost claimed her, she can tell when someone's about to die--but there's nothing she can do to save them. Desperate to rid herself of this cursed ability, Dena has only one chance at peace . . . and two very different men willing to rescue her.

For centuries, Ashmael has seen more souls than he can count but he's never been drawn to anyone the way he is to fragile, beautiful Dena. She fills the dark void of his days with light, and he would sacrifice anything - even his immortality - to cross over to her world and ease her suffering. But he can't afford to be discovered by police detective Michael Anders, who is investigating the deaths that surround Dena. While Michael fights his growing attraction to her, the evidence still points to Dena as the killer. Both men have the ability to save Dena from her horrible fate, but which one can she trust with her darkest secrets?

Angie Sandro’s Top 5 Favorite TV Characters

Wow! Coming up with a list of my favorite characters made me to realize how much I enjoy strong female characters. Don’t get me wrong, I also have a lot of male characters I like as well. But when it comes to characters I still love after years and multiple replays of their series, the women win. Every time.

  1. Buffy from Buffy The Vampire Slayer

Yep, it all started in the 90’s. These were my formative years. I’m going with my all-time favorite female lead. Buffy was tough, yet vulnerable. As a character, she continued to mature every season. She wasn’t perfect. And she didn’t try to be. It took time, but she eventually accepted herself, warts and all. She learned to depend on friends and family. She saved the world. Many, many times.

If there is one life lesson I learned from watching this show, it’s this: If someone (vampire) messes with you, stick them with the pointy end. Oh, and frog fear is real.

  1. Xena from Xena: Warrior Princess (and Gabrielle)

These characters epitomized girl power. They showed strength and love for one another. They didn’t depend on a man to save them. They saved each other, and they saved themselves.

  1. Zoe Alleyne Washburne from Firefly and Serenity

As an African-American woman, Zoe was a character I could admire. She was tough, but she also loved passionately.

  1. Michonne from The Walking Dead

She carries a katana and can decapitate a zombie with one swipe. She’s bad to the bone. ‘Nuff

  1. Arya Stark- Game of Thrones

I absolutely adored Arya in the books. And I couldn’t be more pleased with the actress they found to play her in the HBO series. I could probably fill this list to the top ten with all of my favorites from this series (hello, Brienne of Tarth). But I’ll stop here.

Thanks for spending a bit of time with me.

About Angie Sandro

Angie Sandro was born at Whiteman Air Force Base in Missouri. Within six weeks, she began the first of eleven relocations throughout the United States, Spain, and Guam before the age of eighteen.

Friends were left behind. The only constants in her life were her family and the books she shipped wherever she went. Traveling the world inspired her imagination and allowed her to create her own imaginary friends. Visits to her father’s family in Louisiana inspired this story.

Angie now lives in Northern California with her husband, two children, and an overweight Labrador.
