Waiting on Wednesday

Waiting on Wednesday #83: The White Rose (The Lone City #2) by Amy Ewing

“Waiting On Wednesday” is a weekly meme hosted by Jill at Breaking the Spine where bloggers can rant and rave about any upcoming releases that we are eagerly anticipating. For my addition, I will be spotlighting an upcoming book AND sometimes I will throw in a video game release that I am dying to get my hands on!

But no one said leaving the Jewel would be easy. As they make their way through the circles of the Lone City, Regimentals track their every move, and the trio barely manages to make it out unscathed and into the safe haven they were promised—a mysterious house in the Farm.

But there’s a rebellion brewing, and Violet has found herself in the middle of it. Alongside a new ally, Violet discovers her Auguries are much more powerful than she ever imagined. But is she strong enough to rise up against the Jewel and everything she has ever known?

The White Rose is a raw, captivating sequel to The Jewel that fans won’t be able to put down until the final shocking moments.

Another AMAZING Cover for this insane series!!!!!! The Jewel was an awesome read for me! I loved the concept (kinda weird, creepy, and crazy) and the audiobook was on point. I almost gave up on it, but I’m really glad that I didn’t (read my review to see why). Yes, it might be hard to imagine a world where teens get pregnant with other women’s children, but for me it worked and I can’t wait for the second installment! If you enjoy books that are different (and weird), then I highly recommend giving this trilogy a try. #GIVEME 🙂
