Behind The Blog – What I’m Watching: Orphan Black (BBC AMERICA) #CloneClub
I’ll be the first to admit I have a few addicting pleasures when I’m not writing or blogging. You already know (or at least you should have a clue) that I’m a HUGE gaming nerd. But outside of that my other favorite guilty pleasure is TV. I watch an INSANE amount of television. Between Netflix, DVR, online on demand, I’ve always got my eyes glued to a show. And yes, my taste in TV varies as wide as my taste in books so you can only guess what shows are constantly on repeat in my house. Over the course of this year, in what I hope will become something I do on a regular basis, I hope to give everyone a glimpse into my crazy life outside of blogging, because hey, no one reads 24/7 right?????? Hum, maybe that’s still debatable…
What I’m Watching:
Orphan Black (BBC AMERICA)
Orphan Black follows outsider, orphan and street-wise chameleonSarah. After witnessing a woman’s suicide, Sarah assumes the strangers identity – who happens to look just like her. Expecting to solve all her problems by cleaning out the dead woman’s savings, Sarah is instead thrust headlong into a kaleidoscopic mystery as she realizes the dizzying truth – she and the dead woman are clones. As Sarah searches for answers, she discovers the chilling fact that there are more people like her out there – genetically identical individuals who were planted in unsuspecting birth parents and nurtured in completely different circumstances. With no idea who created the clones, she’ll need to discover the reason in a hurry as an assassin is killing them one by one.

Watch The Trailer:
Oprhan Black is the BEST Science Fiction show on TV since Battlestar Galactica, Lost, Dollhouse and Fringe. If you LOVE epic sci-fi’s then this is a show I guarantee you’ll be addicted to as soon as you watch the first fifteen minutes. Tatiana Maslany is a phenomenal actress, one I’ve never heard of before this show, and one I will be watching long after Orphan Black has run its course.
YES…that is one Freaking Awesome Girl Playing ALL Those Freaking Amazing Parts…
I must admit, I ALMOST missed out on all this EPICNESS. I didn’t watch the show when if first aired because I’m the type of person if I miss 1 or 2 episodes, I won’t watch it at all. In any case, I was bored one Saturday, was in a reading slump (you know how those can be), and decided to watch one episode. Needless to say, I watched the WHOLE FREAKING Season in one night (stayed up past 5am I tell ya)!!!!!! THIS SHOW IS SO MUCH OMG and WTF! You will be cursing at your TV constantly. The BBC does have some of the best shows ever. And if you are one of those people afraid you won’t like anything British, then I encourage you to go to their channel and try it out.
Overall, if you like any form of fantastical science fiction then you MUST WATCH Orphan Black. It’s so good, you’ll be dreaming about becoming a clone!
