March 2014 Box Review:
Well, first, when I finally received my first Nerd Block it was a little disconcerting. The box was a mess, literally, there was barely any tape on it and it was smashed. For a minute I thought someone had opened it and stolen my stuff. Luckily, everything was inside when I cut open the small piece of tape holding it together. I will attribute this slight misfortune to the box being shipped from Canada to North Carolina. Hopefully, my future boxes will not be in such terrible condition. So what did I get in my box….
McFarlane Toys Assassin’s Creed III Connor Action Figure: $15.99
There are several different Assassin’s Creed figures that you could get in the box, such as Edward Kenway. I was super excited to get Conner the main protagonist from AC3.
The figure includes (From Amazon):
- Figure features 27 points of articulation
- Figure includes Assassin tomahawk, bow and quiver of arrows
- Figure includes a unique ‘code’ to unlock exclusive Assassin’s Creed video game content- code does not work on PS4 or Xbox One consoles
- Figure size is 6 inch scale figure
- Featured in his iconic
Simpsons 25th Anniversary Mini-Figures – $6.95
This tiny hand painted mini-figure of James Brown was adorable.
Star Trek: Skele-Trek Mini-Figures Series – ~$6.94
Gah, I wish he was bigger! I am a HUGE Star Trek fan so I was happy to see a Captain Kirk mini-figure. I just wish the little guy was bigger. Either way he’s still going on my shelf in the game room.
The Legend of Zelda Gacha Blind Ball Mini Figure – ~$7.00
Zelda fans should be rejoicing over this item! I received the Link from Skyward Sword in my tiny ball. However, I was disappointed in the construction. Every time I put him together, he kept falling apart. I may just have to glue him to the stand. Ugh, it was slightly annoying.
- Each Gocha ball contains 1 random collectable figure
- 6 different figures in the series
Topps Wacky Packages Stickers Series 7 – ~$2.39
These stickers were cute. Not sure where they will end up in the game room but I’m looking forward to sticking them somewhere.
Join Me T-shirt – ~$20.00
Last but not least is the t-shirt!!!! How cute is it!
Verdict:For my first Nerd Block this was a pretty epic block. I loved everything I received and can’t wait to use the items in my game room! Whoot Whoot! Did you get a block this month? Either way let me know your thoughts!

I love the t-shirt and the little Link figure, definitely cool! I actually already have the Assassin’s Creed Figures. I’m going to wait another month and see how that next box looks before i make a decision.
The only reason I got Nerd Block, was because in the February block they had a sh*t ton of HALO stuff and I was pissed I missed it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! So, here’s to hoping I don’t miss out on anything else cool.
Nerd Block I think is geared more towards geeks in general whereas Loot Crate seems to be mostly video games/anime. So, it depends on what you want really.
