Around The Community:

Project Spark Beta Codes, Goodreads, Amazon Reviews, Cover Reveals & More!

Do  you have a life outside of blogging and reading? Sure you do. Or maybe you’ve just been too engrossed in an amazing novel to see all the exciting news buzzing around the internet lately. Well, no worries. Here’s an EPIC list of my favorite happenings from around the community…

Amazon, say it ain’t so….

So, we all saw this coming right? Amazon (according to the rumor mill) is notorious for deleting reviews without warning. Seems they’ve yet again take it a step further by deleting any review that contains the words ARC. Bloggers and reviewers please be aware that yes, this is happening. And if you have stated anywhere in your review that you reviewed an ARC, it’s quite possible (and most likely) it WILL be deleted. You can follow this thread for more information. To be on the safe side, you can always reword your statement to something like “I received a complimentary review copy in exchange for an honest review”.

Edit: Did you know the price of Amazon Prime is increasing from $79 to $99 per year?

Expected publication: October 7th 2014 by Greenwillow

Epic and provocative, STRAY is an original fairy tale in which magic is a curse that only women bear and society is dictated by a strict religious doctrine called The Path.Princess Aislynn knows all about the curse. Its magic is a part of her, like her awkward nose and thin fingers. It’s also something she can’t control. And girls who can’t control their abilities have a tendency to disappear. So for her own protection, Aislynn is sworn into the Order of Fairy Godmothers where she must spend the rest of her life chaste and devoted to serving another royal family.

Tasked with tending to the sweet, but sheltered Princess Linnea, Aislynn also finds a reluctant friend in the palace gardener, Thackery, who makes no secret of his disdain for her former life. The more time they spend together, though, the more she begins to doubt the rules she has observed so obediently. As Aislynn’s feelings threaten to undo the sacred vows she has taken, she risks not only her own life but Linnea’s as well. With the princess engaged to a devoted follower of The Path, there are some who would do anything to keep Aislynn from straying.

With food and water in dwindling supply, and with danger lurking around every corner, no one can be trusted. And as her world starts to make less and less sense, Claudia begins to realize something terrifying: she is just a pawn in some sort of game, and all of her actions are being controlled from afar by a mysterious gamer. So when she meets a maddening and fascinating outsider named Declan, who claims to be a game moderator, she must decide whether to join him in exchange for protection and access to the border.
