Memes & Features, My Monthly Mailbox

In My Mailbox

In My Mailbox is Hosted by: The Story Siren!

This week’s features are books I actually received last week but failed to showcase (whoops).  If you read my previous IMM then you know that I had a bit of a mix-up with the publisher sending me the wrong book for The Hour of Dust and Ashes. But all is well now, I have my book and I am dying to read it.  I was a good little pea for the past two weeks and did not purchase any books. Kind of hard to believe right? But thanks to my overflowing bookshelf, I think I have enough books to finish out the year and spill over into 2012. Books on the current list were either sent to me from the publisher (Thanks Doubleday and Pocket Books) or I was approved to read them through NetGalley. Also don’t forget that there is a GIVEAWAY going on NOW for The Night Circus (Click Here)! There is still time to enter folks, I have 2 (yes 2) ARC copies to giveaway thanks to Doubleday!  Enjoy this weeks features and good luck to those who are entering the contest! Ta-ta for now.

From The Publisher:

The Night Circus

  • Pub. Date: September 2011
  • Publisher: Knopf Doubleday Publishing Group
  • Format: Hardcover , 400pp
  • Sales Rank: 16

The circus arrives without warning. No announcements precede it. It is simply there, when yesterday it was not. Within the black-and-white striped canvas tents is an utterly unique experience full of breathtaking amazements. It is called Le Cirque des Rêves, and it is only open at night.

But behind the scenes, a fierce competition is underway—a duel between two young magicians, Celia and Marco, who have been trained since childhood expressly for this purpose by their mercurial instructors. Unbeknownst to them, this is a game in which only one can be left standing, and the circus is but the stage for a remarkable battle of imagination and will. Despite themselves, however, Celia and Marco tumble headfirst into love—a deep, magical love that makes the lights flicker and the room grow warm whenever they so much as brush hands.

True love or not, the game must play out, and the fates of everyone involved, from the cast of extraordinary circus performers to the patrons, hang in the balance, suspended as precariously as the daring acrobats overhead.

Written in rich, seductive prose, this spell-casting novel is a feast for the senses and the heart.

To save their children, the queen scattered them to safety and the king filled them with vengeance.

Only a magical timepiece connects the four royal heirs…and time is running out.…

Dayn cursed the Sorcerer that turned him wolfyn and damned him to a lonely fate. As a beast, he mated with women to gain strength.

Strength he needed to rescue his royal parents. But as a man, he craved Reda’s heated, sizzling touch. With little time left, Dayn had to either embrace his wolf to save his kingdom…or fight it to save his woman.
