Our Rambling Thoughts on Chapters 9-16:
So now they’re meeting with a version of TAPS….kinda made me giggle. I know that ghosts are basically considered non-entities even in the undead world. But you would think that somebody besides a human would know more about them. And why hasn’t anyone contacted Marie yet? She of all people would seem to have the answers in regards to ghosts.
AHA! I have to point out page 90. (Not sure what page that is in regards to e-versions) But there is my proof about the vampires getting cold thing from before. (or well not getting cold) Near the bottom of page 90 Cat mentions bringing in space heaters for the NIPD crew to keep them warm, since she had needed them when she was ½ human. But she doesn’t need them now. Proof vampires are just a bit weather resistant. That being the case, why does Cat keep getting cold? Just curious.
So loved Bones slapping Graham for mentally talking shit about Cat. It’s also interesting that he can touch people with his mind now….wonder how far that will progress to.
It is sooo obvious that Madigan is setting up some sort of trap for Cat. I kinda saw it coming. What I didn’t see coming is that Justina is more human as a vampire than she ever was as a human.
I really dislike Madigan but I have to admit I do want to find out what is driving him to be a complete moron and asshat. I also really want to see Kramer set him on fire, unless of course Frost decides to use Madigan as the human that helps Kramer hunt down the witches on Halloween….
Maybe Don can possess him and have him make a complete ass of himself and get him locked up in a loony bin….
This week felt more like filler. We didn’t have any wow moments aside from Cat realizing she can’t raise the wraiths or whatever they’re called.
I was a bit shocked to see Tate demoted without any actual reason given. One can assume its because they don’t want a vampire In charge, and this jackass has enough clout to have himself placed in his stead.
Our ghost keeps popping up. I’m intrigued at what truly motivates him, and look forward to learning backstory. I’m also taking a liking to Tyler, but he feels stereotypical in his jibes. But I loved the scene where he came to Cats rescue.
Bones … New meaning to mental slap there. I figured his powers would grow, but didn’t expect it to happen within the life of the books.
Better or Worse than the other books??? :-O
- What do you think Madigan is up to?
- Now that Cat’s ghost control powers have worn off do you think that she will end up going back to Marie to get help with Kramer?
- What do you think the history is between Don and Madigan?
- What do you think of Bones’ new ability?
- What were your favorite quotes?
- What were your favorite scenes?
Remember you don’t have to answer all the questions. These are just some areas we found interesting while reading and thought they’d make a good point of reference if you aren’t sure what you’d like to discuss. #CatBonesRA on Twitter and Facebook!
